Wyoming Community Centre
A hub for local events and services
Wyoming Community Centre has been a cornerstone of our local area since the early 1990s. Owned by Central Coast Council and managed by GRCS, the centre provides a welcoming space for community events, social gatherings, and local services. The Centre offers a fully fitted kitchen, WIFI, monitors, screens, data projectors, and plenty of chairs and tables. These facilities are available for hire to organisations offering services that benefit the community, as well as for social and family events. All funds raised from hire fees go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the center, ensuring it continues to serve the community for years to come. If you’re looking for a place to host your next event or run a community-focused program, Wyoming Community Centre is ready to support you.
Our Community Care program is here to help local residents who are experiencing financial hardship. We provide a range of services to support individuals and families, including:
Assistance with paying utility bills:
The Energy Accounts Payments Assistance (EAPA) scheme, plays a vital role in preventing energy disconnections for those facing financial difficulties.
Help with paying fines
Work Development Order (WDO) program may be able to assist you in reducing your fine by volunteering, courses, counselling, mentoring or treatment programs.
Food Assistance
We are committed to providing essential food support to those facing hardship. This may be via referral to another service, vouchers or other programs.
Practical help for families.
If you're in need of children’s clothing, toys, books, or essential baby and toddler equipment, we may be able to help. Through our partnership with We Care Connect, we provide quality items to local families doing it tough — offering practical support when it’s needed most.
We also gratefully accept donations of clean, good-quality children’s items. Every donation helps make a real difference.
What started nearly 10 years ago as a small vegetable plot has grown into a thriving community space. The Community Garden now provides affordable garden plots to local residents and hosts a variety of activities and events, enjoyed by people of all ages. The garden’s success is thanks to our dedicated volunteers who help keep the garden running smoothly. Over the years, the garden has received numerous awards, including:
2015: Best Waterwise Garden
2016: Best Theme and Specialty Garden
2017: Best Culinary Garden and Best Theme and Specialty Garden
We are proud of the garden’s journey and its positive impact on our community. If you’re looking to get involved, the Community Garden is always open to new members, and we’d love to have you join our growing community!
Our financial counselling program offers caring, practical support to individuals and families facing financial hardship. We work with you and your creditors, to help ease the pressure, whether through payment plans, debt waivers, or simply making sense of what’s owed. This free service is available to anyone in our community experiencing financial stress. You’re not alone — and reaching out is a strong first step.
Mental Health Support
Someone to talk to
Life can be tough, and everyone needs support sometimes. If you’re struggling with personal challenges, such as separation, death, loneliness, or other concerns, we can make referrals to our partner psychologist or our in-house counselling service. These confidential services are provided by qualified professionals and can support you through a wide range of issues, and are offered at a low cost, and in some cases, completely free of charge. Talking to someone can be the first step toward feeling more supported and less alone.
